1. Acceptance of Privacy Policy
Welcome to AikiTech, Inc. (“AikiTech” “we” or “us”) and our Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”). This Privacy Policy is important and affects your legal rights, so please read carefully.
By accessing or using https://www.aikitech.ai/, https://elly.aikitech-ai.com, and various related websites and services (collectively, the “AikiTech Services”), you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and all of the terms incorporated herein by reference. By using the AikiTech Services and/or submitting or collecting any personal information via the AikiTech Services, you accept and expressly consent and agree to our practices surrounding the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. IF YOU DO NOT CONSENT AND AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, YOU CANNOT, AND WE DO NOT AUTHORIZE YOU TO, ACCESS, BROWSE, OR USE THE AIKITECH SERVICES.
Our processing of personal information, such as your name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number, will be undertaken consistent with the requirements of applicable privacy laws.
Intended Audience. The AikiTech public website (aikitech.ai) is a general-audience business website directed to adults and is not directed to children. The AI-Teacher-Assistant is designed for and used exclusively by K-12 teachers, administrators, and school staff. Only educators create accounts and sign in; students do not have accounts, do not log in, and do not interact with AI-TA directly. No student’s information is made available or visible to the public or to any other students through AikiTech. Students are not permitted to use the service or have accounts and the intended audience of the AikiTech service is strictly to be used by Teachers only. The AI Teacher Assistant (“AI-TA”) is an AI-powered productivity tool designed for K-12 teachers. AI-TA helps teachers with lesson planning, the creation of differentiated instructional materials, rubric and assessment generation, parent and classroom communication drafting, and the application of generic accommodations and modifications (such as simplified language, reduced reading level, or visual aids) to generated content.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information We Collect Directly from You
We receive personal information as described to you at the point of collection, pursuant to your consent (such as confirmations or operational notices), and/or when you voluntarily provide us (including our licensees) with personal information, including:
(1) individual information;
(2) company information;
(3) other identifying information that you voluntarily choose to provide to us, including without limitation unique identifiers such as passwords, and personal information in messages you send to us.
We may also collect additional information, which may be personal information, as otherwise described to you at the point of collection or pursuant to your consent.
2.2 Information We Automatically Collect When You Use Our Site
In order to access and use certain areas or features of the AikiTech Services, you consent to our collection and use of certain information about your use of the AikiTech Services through the use of tracking technologies or by other passive means, including when you receive, open, engage, forward, and/or click through the Services. Your consent to our access and use of this “passively collected” information includes, but is not limited to, the domain name of the website that allowed you to navigate to the AikiTech Services, search engines used, the internet protocol (IP) address used, the length of time spent on the AikiTech Services, the pages you looked at on the AikiTech Services, other webpages you visited before and after visiting the AikiTech Services, the type of device and/or internet browser you have, the frequency of your visits to the AikiTech Services, metadata, latencies, errors and other relevant statistics (collectively “Traffic Data”).
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information (including personal information and Traffic Data) when you use and interact with the AikiTech Services, and in some cases from third party sources. Such means of collection include:
When you access, use, or contact us through the AikiTech Services.
When you voluntarily provide information through the AikiTech Services.
Information you provide regarding your marketing preferences or in the course of participating in surveys or promotional offers.
If you use a location-enabled browser, we may receive information about your location and device.
Through Cookies, Web Beacons, analytics services, and other tracking technologies (collectively, “Tracking Tools”).
4. Tracking Tools, Behavioral Advertising, and Opt Out Options
4.1 Tracking Tools
We may use tools outlined below in order to provide the AikiTech Services and better understand users.
Cookies: “Cookies” are small computer files transferred to your device that contain information such as user ID, user preferences, lists of pages visited and activities conducted while using the AikiTech Services. We use Cookies to: (i) improve and tailor the AikiTech Services, (ii) measure performance, (iii) store authentication so re-entering credentials is not required, (iv) customize user experiences, and for (v) analytics and fraud prevention. For more information on Cookies, including how to control your Cookie settings and preferences, visit http://www.allaboutCookies.org. You can also manage Cookies in your web browser (for example, Edge, Explorer, Chrome, Safari). If you choose to change your settings, you may find that certain functions or features of the AikiTech Services will not work as intended. The following details the types of Cookies we use and why we use them:
- Absolutely Necessary Cookies. These Cookies are essential to enable you to move around a website and use its features. Without these Cookies, services you have asked for, like adding items to an online order, cannot be provided.
- Performance Cookies. These Cookies collect information about how you use the AikiTech Services. Information collected includes, the Internet browsers and operating systems used, the domain name of the website previously visited, the number of visits, average duration of visit, and pages viewed. These Cookies do not collect information that personally identifies you and only collect aggregated and anonymous information. Performance Cookies are used to improve the user-friendliness of a website and enhance your experience.
- Functionality Cookies. These Cookies allow the AikiTech Services to remember choices you make (such as your username, language preference, or the area or region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personal features. These Cookies can also be used to remember changes you have made to text size, fonts, and other customizable parts of the AikiTech Services. The information these Cookies collect may be anonymized, and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.
Web Beacons: “Web Beacons” (a.k.a. clear GIFs or pixel tags) are tiny graphic image files embedded in a web page or email that may be used to collect information about the use of the AikiTech Services. The information collected by Web Beacons allows us to analyze how many people are using the AikiTech Services, using selected publishers’ websites, or opening emails, and for what purpose.
Web Service Analytics: We may use third-party analytics services in connection with the AikiTech Services, including, for example, to register mouse clicks, mouse movements, scrolling activity and text typed into the AikiTech Services. We use the information collected from these services to help make the AikiTech Services easier to use and as otherwise set forth in Section 6 (How We Use Your Information). These analytics services generally do not collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it.
4.2 Behavioral Advertising
We do not use a type of advertising commonly known as interest-based or online behavioral advertising.
4.3 Options for Opting out of Cookies and Mobile Device Identifiers
The AikiTech Services utilize an on-site consent banner allowing visitors to accept/reject analytics cookies, and users can manage cookies natively via their browser settings. The AI-TA product uses only strictly necessary cookies for authentication, session management, and security, and does not use cookies for behavioral advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics profiling.
If we process Cookies based on your consent (as indicated at the time of collection of such data), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any point in time by contacting us at [email protected]. Please note, if you exercise this right, you may have to provide your consent on a case-by-case basis to enable you to utilize some or all of the AikiTech Services.
AikiTech does not permit third-party advertising networks or cross-site behavioral tracking technologies to operate on the AikiTech Services. If you follow a link from the AikiTech Services to a third-party website, that website’s own cookies and privacy practices apply, and this Privacy Policy does not cover them.
Persistent identifiers (such as session cookies and IP addresses) are used solely to support the internal operations of the AikiTech Services — authentication, security, and service functioning — and are never used or disclosed to contact or profile any individual.
4.4 “Do Not Track” (DNT) and Universal Opt-Out Preference Signals
Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) incorporate a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or similar feature that signals to web services that a visitor does not want to have their online activity and behavior tracked. If a web service operator elects to respond to a particular DNT signal, the web service operator may refrain from collecting certain personal information about the browser’s user. Not all browsers offer a DNT option and there is currently no industry consensus as to what constitutes a DNT signal. For these reasons, many web service operators, including AikiTech, do not proactively respond to DNT signals. The CPRA and other laws allow for the acceptance of Opt-Out Preference Signals such as the GPC, as an option for users to transmit an Opt-Out of selling/sharing personal information, will be honored where applicable. If we detect and recognize such a signal from your device or browser, we will honor it.
5. Artificial Intelligence
We may employ artificial intelligence (AI) technologies (“AI Systems”) to enhance the performance and functionality of the AikiTech Services and/or support certain internal operations and customer facing services which includes tailoring your experience through automated processing based on your activity using the AikiTech Services. The AI Systems work by analyzing your usage patterns, preferences, and other interactions within our services to predict your interests and preferences. The insights gathered allow us to improve our service offerings, improve efficiency and accuracy, and enhance user satisfaction and service quality.
We may use third-party AI service providers to support certain functions of the AikiTech Services. These third-party AI services may process personal information, such as your name, email address, and other basic identifying information, as well as records of your interactions with the AikiTech Services. We require that third-party AI service providers process personal information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
No model training on customer data. Teacher prompts, uploaded attachments, and AI-generated responses are processed for inference by an enterprise cloud-hosted AI service operating on the provider’s managed infrastructure within U.S. regions (currently Google Cloud Vertex AI; the same architecture supports Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and AWS Bedrock as alternate deployments). Under the applicable cloud provider’s service terms and data processing agreement, this content is not used to train or fine-tune AikiTech’s models, the provider’s models, or any third party’s foundation models. The provider processes this content solely as AikiTech’s service provider, and AikiTech configures its inference deployment to minimize retention, so that content is retained no longer than the limited transient processing permitted under the provider’s terms. All such content is encrypted in transit and at rest. Any change in our inference deployment will be reflected in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.
This notice explains how we use AI Systems and how you may request additional information or human review. By using the AikiTech Services, you consent to the use of AI as described in this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review your privacy settings regularly to ensure they continue to reflect your preferences.

We are committed to using AI responsibly. To this end, we implement the following safeguards:
- We evaluate models independently via general-purpose benchmarks for model selection and quality assurance. We do NOT audit or review individual chats or AI outputs — doing so would conflict with the FERPA-respecting non-monitoring posture described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
- We do NOT monitor AI outputs or intervene in AI ‘decisions.’ Human oversight is encouraged by the teacher, supported by an in-product disclaimer (‘AI-TA can make mistakes. Please double-check response.’) reinforcing teacher responsibility for output review. AikiTech monitoring outputs would require reading teacher prompts and AI responses, which the privacy architecture is designed to prevent.
- We do comply with privacy regulations and have implemented prompt-level safeguards against misuse (e.g., the model refuses prompts seeking dangerous instructions). AI-TA also includes an automated AI-generated quality assessment alongside each response as a reference for the teacher. This is part of the product, not a human review process, and the teacher remains responsible for final accuracy.
6. How We Use Your Information
We do not engage in automated decision making. We use information, including personal information, to provide the AikiTech Services and to help improve them. We may use de-identified and/or aggregated data to conduct research, validate and improve the product, and develop new services. Specifically, such use may include:
- Providing you with the products, services, and information you request.
- Perform, administer, and enforce agreements.
- Corresponding with you, including to provide customer service and assistance.
- Providing, maintaining, administering, or expanding the AikiTech Services, performing business analyses, and for other internal purposes.
- Fulfilling our legal obligations, such as preventing, detecting, and investigating security incidents, fraud, and potentially illegal or prohibited activities.
- Enforcing our Privacy Policy and other agreements.
7. How We Share Your Information
In certain circumstances, and in order to perform the AikiTech Services, we may share certain information about you as described in this section:
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- We may share your personal information and/or Traffic Data with our partners who perform operational services for us (such as hosting, billing, fulfillment, data storage, security, or web service analytics).
- We also may need to disclose your personal information or any other information we collect about you if we determine in good faith that such disclosure is needed to: (1) comply with or fulfill our obligations under applicable law; (2) protect the rights, property or safety of you, AikiTech or another party; (3) enforce this Privacy Policy or other agreements with you; or (4) respond to claims that any posting or other content violates third-party rights.
- We may share personal information in accordance with any consent you provide.
7.1 Change of Control:
Over time, AikiTech may grow and reorganize. We may share your information, including personal information with affiliates such as a parent company, subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us, in which case we will require those companies to agree to use your personal information in a way that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.
In the event of a change to our organizations such that all or a portion of AikiTech or its assets are acquired by or merged with a third-party, or in any other situation where personal information that we have collected from users would be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by that third-party, this Privacy Policy will continue to apply to your information, and any acquirer would only be able to handle your personal information as per this policy (unless you give consent to a new policy). We will provide you with notice of an acquisition within thirty (30) days following the completion of such a transaction, by posting on our homepage and by email to your email address that you provided to us. If you do not consent to the use of your personal information by such a successor company, subject to applicable law, you may request its deletion from the company.
In the unlikely event that AikiTech goes out of business, or files for bankruptcy, we will protect your personal information, and will not sell it to any third-party.
8. Storage and Security of Information
AikiTech and our third-party service providers implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls limiting employee access to Student Data to authorized personnel with a legitimate operational need, background checks for employees with access to Student Data, and regular security audits.
If AikiTech becomes aware of a security breach by an unauthorized party or that user data was used for an unauthorized purpose, we will comply with applicable state and federal data breach laws. We will notify affected users and Schools electronically, at minimum, and without unreasonable delay so that appropriate steps can be taken. The notification will include the date of the breach, the types of information subject to the breach, a general description of what occurred, and the steps AikiTech is taking to address it.
Any information you send to us electronically, while using the AikiTech Services or otherwise interacting with us, may not be secure when it is transmitted to us. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us. Please be aware, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee “perfect security.” Any information you send us through any means is transmitted at your own risk.
9. Disclosures and Rights
9.1 Information You Provide
You can choose whether or not to provide personal information through the AikiTech Services. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights relating to your personal information and will not (i) deny you goods or services, (ii) provide you with a different level or quality of services, or (iii) charge you different prices for services for doing so.

Purposes for Collection, Use, and Sharing. We use and disclose the personal information we collect for our commercial purposes, as further described in this Privacy Policy, including for our business purposes with our partners and service providers as follows:
- Legal compliance and auditing related to our interactions with you.
- Detecting security incidents, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, and exercising our related rights.
- Performing and improving our services (by us or our service provider(s)).
- Internal operations.
9.3 Individual Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident or a resident of another state that provides for individual privacy rights, you may have the following rights in relation to personal information we have collected about you, to the extent required by the applicable law and subject to verification:
Right to Know/Access: You have the right to request certain information about our collection and use of personal information about you as described below:
- The specific pieces of your personal information collected.
- The categories of your personal information collected.
- The categories of sources from whom your personal information is collected.
- The purpose for collecting your personal information.
- The categories of third parties with whom we have shared your personal information.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete certain personal information we have about you.
- Freedom from Discrimination: You have the right to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising any of your privacy rights.
- Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information regarding the information you provide us.
- Right to Restrict the Use of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to restrict the use of your sensitive personal information.
- Right to Access Information on Automated Decision-Making: You have the right to access information collected through automated decision-making. Additionally, you can opt-out of our use of automated decision-making (if any) related to your personal information.
To make a request in relation to the above rights, please contact us using the information in Section 16 below. To fulfil your request, we will need to verify your identity. Only you or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf may make a request related to your personal information. To designate an authorized agent, the authorized agent must provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify that you authorize them to act on your behalf.
School Requests. Schools may review, request correction of, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of Student Data at any time by contacting [email protected]. AikiTech will verify that the request originates from an authorized School representative and will respond within time frames that permit the School to meet its obligations under FERPA and applicable state law, and in no event later than thirty (30) days after receipt. Upon a verified deletion request, AikiTech will delete the identified Student Data from its systems and direct its third-party service providers to do the same, except where retention is required by law. Refusal of further collection may limit the School’s or teacher’s ability to use certain features of the AikiTech Services; AikiTech will inform the School of any such implications at the time of the request.
10. How Long We Retain Your Information
We retain personal information about you for as long as necessary to provide you the AikiTech Services. In some cases, we retain personal information for longer, if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. Afterwards, we retain some information in a de-identified and/or aggregated form but not in a way that would identify you personally.
Personal information is deleted in accordance with our internal data retention schedule; account data is deleted within 90 days of account closure or termination of the applicable School agreement, unless longer retention is required by law.
11. Information Provided on Behalf of Children and Others
AikiTech complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501-6506 (“COPPA”) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act 20 U.S.C. § 1232g (“FERPA”). This section applies to the collection of personal information from children.
AikiTech does not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are under 18, do not attempt to register for the AikiTech Services or send us any personal information unless authorized by this Section. By accessing, using and/or submitting information through the AikiTech Services, you represent that you are not younger than 18 and that you have authority to do so unless you are authorized under a FERPA- or COPPA-related exception described below. If you use the AikiTech Services on behalf of another person, regardless of age, you represent and warrant that you have authority to do so.
12. FERPA Compliance
AikiTech may provide educational products and services and/or receive education records from educational institutions (“Schools”) that are subject to FERPA. To the extent that AikiTech receives education records (“Student Data”) from a School, AikiTech acknowledges that it is acting as a “school official” with a “legitimate educational interest” as those terms are defined under FERPA, and agrees to comply with FERPA. We consider such Student Data to be strictly confidential and is controlled by School.
When AikiTech acts as a school official to process Student Data under FERPA, AikiTech shall:
- Use Student Data solely for the purpose of providing the AikiTech Services to the School in accordance with the applicable agreement between AikiTech and the School.
- Not disclose or re-disclose Student Data to third parties without the prior written consent of the parent or eligible student, unless permitted under FERPA.
- Not use Student Data (including, without limitation, no use by AI technologies) for any purpose other than those specified in the agreement with the School, including but not limited to targeted advertising or the creation of student profiles for non-educational purposes.
- Maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Student Data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or use.
- Return or destroy Student Data when no longer needed for the purposes for which they were disclosed, unless otherwise directed by the School.
Parents and eligible students retain all rights under FERPA with respect to Student Data, including the right to inspect and review such Student Data, and to request amendment of Student Data they believe to be inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of the student’s privacy rights. To exercise these rights, please contact the applicable School directly. To the extent we can, we will support your school or educational institution with fulfilling your request.
Student Data We Process. Students do not have accounts and do not log in to AI-TA, and AikiTech does not access class rosters, student accounts, or student information through Google’s APIs. No Student Data is required for AI-TA to operate. Student Data is processed only when a teacher, at their discretion and under the direction of their School, chooses to include student information in prompts, uploaded documents, or generated materials (for example, when preparing differentiated instruction or accommodation-related content). The categories of Student Data processed are therefore determined by the teacher and School configuration, and may include student names, education records, and information related to accommodations or individualized education programs.
12.1 COPPA Compliance
AikiTech is committed to protecting the privacy of children who use the Services. This Section explains our information collection, disclosure, and parental consent practices in accordance with COPPA and outlines our practices in the United States regarding children’s personal information. For more information about COPPA and general tips about protecting children’s online privacy, please visit the FTC Online Privacy and Security webpage.
COPPA requires those sites and services to notify parents directly and get their approval before they collect, use, or disclose a child’s personal information. Because AikiTech does not knowingly collect any information from children COPPA is not a factor.
Under COPPA, parents have the right to review, have deleted, and/or refuse to permit further collection or use of their child’s information. While we do not collect any personal information directly from children, parents should contact their child’s school directly to exercise any of these requests, and we will support the school in fulfilling them.

13. Third Party Web Services
The AikiTech Services may contain links or content from third party websites. A link or content from a third-party website does not mean we endorse that website, the accuracy of information presented, or the persons or entities associated with that website. If you visit a third-party website, you are subject to the privacy policy of the applicable third party and we are not responsible for the policies and/or practices of any third party. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your information to others.
14. Third-Party Service Providers and Sub-Processors
The following third parties process data on AikiTech’s behalf to operate the AikiTech Services. Each is bound by a written agreement requiring it to use the data solely to provide services to AikiTech, to maintain safeguards consistent with this Privacy Policy, and to make no use of Student Data for its own purposes. We assess each provider’s privacy and security practices before engagement and annually thereafter, and no third party is permitted to use personally identifiable information for advertising, marketing, or profiling. If we add or replace a sub-processor that will process Student Data, we will update this disclosure and provide advance notice as described in the Updates section of this Policy.

Google Workspace APIs and Limited Use. When AI Teacher Assistant is used through the Google Workspace add-on, AikiTech accesses the following Google user data: the teacher’s Google account identity (OAuth subject identifier, email address, and hosted domain), Google Classroom course metadata (course name, section, and description) and DRAFT coursework created by the teacher through the product, and files the product itself creates in the teacher’s Google Drive under the drive.file scope (which permits access only to files created by the application, never the teacher’s broader Drive). AikiTech does not access class rosters, student accounts, or any student information through Google’s APIs.
